Illustrated with Joshua Reynold's engraved portrait of Johnson as frontispiece (vol. I), a folding plate of the Round Robin (vol. II), and a folding plate of facsimiles of Johnson's handwriting. Uncut. Some rubbing to boards. Housed in a custom brown cloth open-ended slipcase. A very good copy.

The second edition "was the last actually published in [Boswell's] lifetime.
