Every condition is divided up into their primary cause ('Heat in the Liver' etc), giving clear details of differential diagnosis. The treatments recommended are thorough and exhaustive, including various Galenical compounds (decoctions, pills, powders, syrups etc), enemas, baths, bloodletting, cupping, plasters, oils etc, as well as dietary & lifestyle advice. Various animal and mineral remedies are used throughout the text, although most of the information is still practical today
