Title-page printed in brown and black on japan vellum, Publisher’s note and prospectus laid in. With fifty-two full page illustrations including frontispiece. Frontispiece with tissue guard.

Publisher’s half parchment over terra cotta paper boards, gilt-stamped front board and spine. Pastedowns with an image of a flying plane. Original glassine with some very minor wear but otherwise about fine. Edges uncut. Publisher’s note and prospectus laid in. A fine and beautiful copy. Housed in publisher's scarce original blue paper box.

"Though issued some weeks later than the popular edition, the Autograph edition consists of first impressions on Old Stratford Linen paper, from type not previously used,- the popular edition being printed from electrotypes taken from that type.
