First edition of Jones' first book. Inscribed by Robert Jones on front free endpaper in blue ink. "Sincerely,/Robert Jones Jr." Octavo (8 1/2 x 6 inches; 210 x 150 mm). [1]-239, [1, blank] pp. With frontispiece and twenty-three other black-and-white photographic plates.

Original half tan cloth over green cloth. Spine lettered in gilt. Front board lettered and embellished with golf clubs in gilt. Pages largely unopened. Top edges green, others uncut. A tiny slit at the top of the spine. Otherwise about fine.
