Large tear to leaf H, mildly affecting text. Sir John Hawkins is a pseudonym. " A collection of satires and parodies by Richard Tickell and others, purporting to be the competitive essays of Thomas Warton’s rivals for the laureatship." ESTC T126547.

Octavo (8 1/4 x 4 7/8 inches; 210 x 125 mm). All pamphlets bound together in contemporary half calf over marbled boards. Red morocco spine label, lettered in gilt. Some occasional foxing but otherwise very clean. Previous owners old ink notes on front endpapers. A very good copy.
